We have a team of staff who are supported by many volunteers.

The Landcare facilitator’s primary role is to support the identification, planning and development of on-ground natural resource management projects in relation to biodiversity and climate.
​
Including to:

Assist HCCC to develop and review their action/strategic plans, and to ensure these plans reflect the contemporary strategic directions and challenges facing Victoria’s environment, including climate change.

Identify and promote grants and funding opportunities that support activities to increase the health of the environment and facilitate HCCC to apply for and secure funding for projects.

Promote and provide opportunities for broad and diverse community participation across the Hughes Creek Catchment.

Engage landholders and land managers in the adoption of best practice sustainable land management.

Facilitate information sharing, cooperation, collaboration and networking among, Landcare staff, and the broader natural resource management sector.

Build local community capacity to enable groups, networks and communities to be resilient and support HCCC to fulfil their reporting requirements in a timely manner.
