Our team

We have a team of staff who are supported by many volunteers.

The Landcare facilitator’s primary role is to support the identification, planning and development of on-ground natural resource management projects in relation to biodiversity and climate.

Including to:

  • Assist HCCC to develop and review their action/strategic plans, and to ensure these plans reflect the contemporary strategic directions and challenges facing Victoria’s environment, including climate change.

  • Identify and promote grants and funding opportunities that support activities to increase the health of the environment and facilitate HCCC to apply for and secure funding for projects.

  • Promote and provide opportunities for broad and diverse community participation across the Hughes Creek Catchment.

  • Engage landholders and land managers in the adoption of best practice sustainable land management.

  • Facilitate information sharing, cooperation, collaboration and networking among, Landcare staff, and the broader natural resource management sector.
